Cancellation Protection
Park Cottages Cancellation Protection Scheme.
Park Cottages operates its own cancellation protection scheme, the cost of which is included in the total cost of your booking. The aim of the scheme is to provide protection in the event of cancellation of your holiday for reasons outside your reasonable control.
Cover Provided:
- Death, illness or injury of a member of your party or any relative, defined as spouse, child, parent, brother, sister, in-law, fiance(e)
- A member of the party being called for jury service for any period of your booking. A written request to attend jury service must be provided and evidence that an alternative date has been refused.
- Significant disruption of any UK public transport system required by you to reach your destination due to strike, riot or civil action. The tickets for you cancelled/disrupted travel must be provided.
- Accidental damage to any member of your party’s home within 14 days prior to the start of your booking or fire/theft at home or place of business requiring your presence by the Police which results in being unable to commence your holiday.
- Any member of the party receiving notification of redundancy within the 2 months prior to the commencement of your holiday.
Exclusions
- Any pre-existing medical conditions or injuries and any recurring or chronic illness or condition.
- Travelling against medical advice or other failure to follow proper medical advice.
- Pregnancy-related conditions or giving birth where the expected date of birth is within 8 weeks of the commencement of your holiday.
- Drug addiction, alcoholism or any other similar addictions.
- Suicide or attempted suicide.
- Divorce, separation or other relationship breakdown.
- Injury or illness as a result of hazardous sports.
Refunds
In the event that you cancel your holiday as a result of any of the circumstances or situations covered, you will be refunded the cost of your booking less the £25.00 booking fee and an administration charge of £15.00 to cover costs.
Any cancellation made due to reasons not covered by the scheme will not be refunded.
The decision of Park Cottages will be final in all cases
Additional Cover
The Park Cottages cancellation protection scheme is designed to provide basic protection for booking cancellation. If additional cover is required, we suggest that alternative cover is sought.
Making a claim
If you need to cancel your holiday, please do so in writing to the address found in the ‘About Us’ page enclosing any evidence, proof or support of your claim.
