The Cottage, Bourton-on-the-Water

The Cottage is a pretty Costwolds cottage situated near the heart of the village.

Built in 1827, this cottage has recently been sympathetically improved. Low beamed ceilings and doorways add character to this very comfortable cottage. An ideal base to explore the Cotswolds

Entering directly into the sitting/dining room with stone floors and rugs throughout the ground floor. There is a flat-screen TV, DVD player and radio/CD player. With ample seating for four people, this is a great room to relax in.

The dining area has a circular dining table and four chairs. From this area there is a staircase to the first floor.

The sitting/dining room leads into a large kitchen. The oak units have granite work surfaces and the very well equipped kitchen has a fridge with small freezer compartment, electric double oven and hob, microwave and dishwasher. Off the kitchen there is a side entrance lobby with gas-fired central heating boiler, washer/dryer and a cloakroom with WC and basin.

The first floor bedroom has oak furniture including two single beds and a wardrobe. Also on this floor is a small bathroom with corner bath and hand-held shower, basin WC and heated towel rail.

A steep staircase (hence may not be suitable for elderly or small children) leads to a second floor bedroom. With a vaulted ceiling, beams and views over the green this makes a very attractive room. It has a King Size sleigh bed, dressing table and hanging rail for clothes. This room also has a hand-basin.

The cottage is by the river and a minute’s walk to the centre of the village and its amenities.

Although this property has no garden, the proximity of the river, riverbank and the green outside the cottage provide ample space to relax outside on warm sunny days.

Roadside parking is usually available in the quiet road.
