Reservations
Bookings with Park Cottages are made through our website which has been designed from the ground up to provide a simple, four stage procedure for reserving you holiday cottage.
Stage 1 – Availability
Browse through the cottages and when you are happy with a particular cottage, simply click the ‘Availability’ button which takes you to the first stage of your booking. The calendar will show you if your desired dates are available. If they are, select the dates and the price for you stay will be displayed. If the price is acceptable, click ‘Reserve’
To ensure the best occupation of our cottages and to enable a smooth and efficient handover between guests, we normally specify a Saturday-to-Saturday booking requirement. If your booking is short notice and the cottage is available, the system will allow you to book your stay. However, if you have other requirements and the system will not allow you to book your preferred dates, please get in touch and we will do our very best to accommodate your requirements.
Stage 2 – Booking Details
If you are an returning customer, you will be asked to login and will be taken to the booking details page which will only ask for any special instructions and the number of people in your party. Your personal details are shown on the right-hand side of the screen and can be amended using the ‘Edit’ option.
If you are a new customer, you will simply select the new customer option, enter your email address and proceed to the booking details page where you will be asked for your personal details as well as any special instructions and the number of people in your party.
Stage 3 – Payment
You will now be asked for your payment information and to confirm your billing address. You can amend your booking details using the ‘Edit’ options on the right-hand side of this screen. Please note that Park Cottages is charged a fee by the credit card payment providers for each payment and we unfortunately must pass this on to our customers in the form of a 2.5% surcharge. If you pay by maestro or similar debit card, you will not be charged a surcharge.
Stage 4 – Confirmation
Your details will now be displayed for you to check. The price displayed will include any booking fees, cancellation insurance and credit card surcharges which may be applicable. The booking, personal and payment details can all be amended at this point if needed. Once you are happy with the details, click the ‘Reserve’ button.
Payments
Park Cottages takes your payment in two stages. A deposit of 20% is paid immediately with the balance being collected a specified period prior to your stay. If you are making a booking six weeks or less before your stay, you will be charged the full amount at the time of booking with no later payment.
Park Cottages uses the highly regarded Protx service provider for it’s payments. All data is encrypted at all stages and is completely secure. Your payment will be processed by Protx and assuming your details are correct, you will receive a confirmation that your booking has been made. You will also receive an email confirming your booking.
